Last Year's inaugural Festival was fantastic, with a great lineup of speakers, including a 2010 Pulitzer Prize winner, a National Book Award winner, a Newbery Medal winner, and over a dozen best-selling authors.

The 2010 Gaithersburg Book Festival attracted 8,000 attendees who came out to see 56 authors speak and sign their books. Because of the remarkable success of the 2010 Festival, as well as an ambitious marketing plan for 2011, we are expecting even larger crowds this year.

For the 2011 Festival we already have signed up a number of bestselling and prize winning authors (Edgar Award,  National Book Award, Newbery Medal, Shamus Award, Nero Award, Emmy Award) and we're not done yet!
